There is a current comic character naughtily making fun of the name of a woman in trouble with the law. That the comic is also a woman speaks well of all's fair in laugh
and all.
While comic relief might be welcome respite during intense mediation sessions, calling each other names is not one of them. In fact, it could be one cause of why mediation was needed in the first place. And what has been spoken cannot be taken back.
Mediators and disputants alike are thus cautioned to be sensitive to the feelings of the other/s.
