Madi Ann

She got into a maddening situation of a 19-year old renting a two-bedroom unit at a seniors' facility in Arkansas, and admittedly turned it into a Hallmark moment. She counted the ways:

1.  It costs only $350/ month.
2.  Package included extra grandparents.
3.  When she arrives home, all is quiet.
4.  She could have music anytime as seniors deaf
5.  They talked loud so she heard the latest news
6.  They were genuinely interested in her.
7.  They pampered her with snacks.

Madi was a catch too, being a nurse assistant in a local health maintenance company.

Audrey Hepburn and Anne Frank

They were born 6 weeks apart.

Audrey came from Brussels; Anne, Frankfurt.

They then became Dutch Girls 60 miles apart.

Audrey's family hid a Red Devil pilot in their cellar. Anne's family hid in the attic.

After the war, Audrey lived in an apartment
above the editor working on Anne Frank's Diary.

Audrey respectfully refused the request of Anne's father to portray Anne as being too near her experience, from which she did not want to make money.

Later, as UNICEF Ambassador of Goodwill,
Audrey would read excerpts from Anne's Diary.

This modern Jane Austen has been quoted as saying, "I love Bob, I love Richard, I love Rice Krispies,...perhaps it is better in the end just to love Rice Krispies." (Biographer Paula Byrne)

Paul Whybrew

He is not a fictional reformed bootlegger but Queen Elizabeth's trusted former servant now a "calming presence for the monarch." Plucked from retirement, he joined aide Angela Kelly back at service in Windsor Castle during Covid.  Shades of Queen Victoria's Abdul.

Marcel Marceau

A Jew in France during Hitler's reign of terror, he started doing mime at the cabaret and was called a clown by his butcher father. He took on another silent occupation when he joined the Resistance and personally took schoolchildren choir members across the Alps to Switzerland.

Lawyers Lain

Marcos' era human rights lawyer and former VP Jejomar Binay says that with the current "pikon"  DU30, slain lawyers have risen to 61 for the past 5 years, compared to the 49 put down during the 44 years from FM to Pnoy.

For the first time, too, a tarpaulin was put up in EDSA of Judge Monique Ignacio, red-tagged for freeing and clearing 2 activists.

And in Samar, the police chief asked the court for a list of lawyers representing activists.

So covid-fatigued, it has been depicted as having mistakenly carried its assignment to Windsor Castle/Buckingham Palace instead of Malacanan.

Photo Perjury

It's one thing to try and prove that DU30 is alive while not exactly kicking his boots off at work. Worse is to claim infrastructure in other countries as your own.

Ignatius of Loyola

This "Pivotal Player " of Christian history stood at 5'1", the youngest in an aristocratic family of 13. Orphaned of both parents at 16, he became a page at the court of the Spanish King. Living an entitled life, Ignatius subsequently got into trouble and hence would become the only saint with a criminal record. (Bishop Barron)

Mask

Christ's face cover was neatly folded at the side of his sarcophagus.  In Jewish table tradition, that meant he was not yet done and would be back. That's reassuring to all Christians.

Human Doings

"We are not. We are Human Beings. As such, at

Happy moments, Praise God.                      Difficult moments, Seek God.                          Quiet moments, Worship God.                      Painful moments, Trust God.                          Every moment, Thank God."

Pontius Pilate

He could be the Covid 19 poster boy for hand-washing but not for judicial wisdom, sentencing an innocent man, or at best leaving it up to a boisterous hang jury to decide.
