Actually advanced Easter thought. With the current theme of "pagpapatawad," I recall a smart-alecky vendor from whom I was asking a discount. She replied that there's no need, I had not done her any wrong! Then, the Inquirer cartoon Tunganga had this quote,"Bayad ho yung bata?" The poor child wailed, " Mama, wag mo ko ibayad magbe-behave na ako!" Only in the Philippines!!!
Graver misunderstandings than these have reached mediation. The mediator then acts like a moral translator of sorts.
