A resident frog has been sleeping soundly under our saplings. Once, thinking it was dead, I tipped its planter bed over a dug up hole to bury it only to jump out just in time to prove he's alive!
To keep from making a salad bar out of the saplings, it is treated to vegetable refuse on a stony plate by the garden.
