After Downton Abbey, Fellowes narrates about New York social life. A white young woman, down on her luck upon her father's death, befriends a budding writer black young woman who becomes the secretary of the former's aunt she now lives with. It turns out the writer's family has some wealth and does not welcome her friend's surprise visit to their home! Tables turned.
