Sabotage

Mother Angelica of EWTN, who looks like one of our nuns in high school, writes:

"And haven't you done that to God?

Zechariah says, 'I am an old man, and my wife is advanced in years.' Luke 1:18

He's telling the angel, 'Forget it, brother. I know you mean well but it is impossible. See you next time I'm here.' To struggle is part of holiness.

You know, we're an odd bunch of people.  We pray for things, but we're so sure the Lord isn't going to do them that we even tell Him He can't do it. But we keep on praying anyway.

We all do that, and see, God so often is prevented from doing the miraculous because you and I will not do the ridiculous."
