Audrey Hepburn and Anne Frank

They were born 6 weeks apart.

Audrey came from Brussels; Anne, Frankfurt.

They then became Dutch Girls 60 miles apart.

Audrey's family hid a Red Devil pilot in their cellar. Anne's family hid in the attic.

After the war, Audrey lived in an apartment
above the editor working on Anne Frank's Diary.

Audrey respectfully refused the request of Anne's father to portray Anne as being too near her experience, from which she did not want to make money.

Later, as UNICEF Ambassador of Goodwill,
Audrey would read excerpts from Anne's Diary.
