Abilene Paradox

"One hot summer day, a father suggests that the family go to a favorite restaurant in Abilene to cool off. His wife, daughter and son-in-law chime in agreement. On the way to Abilene, there is a heavy volume of vehicles and upon arrival at their destination, they are not satisfied with the service. Once at home, the father rationalizes that he just wanted to dispel their boredom, and the rest of the family say they just went along with his idea."
