In the film "Boycott,"  blacks in the South refused to ride the bus for several months due to segregation. The Ku Klux Klan then burned the house of a black man and the firefighters refused to respond to the alarm. In the end, the blacks won and buses got desegragated but at the cost Martin Luther King's life.
