Buying real estate is tricky business. A broker myself, I understand their eagerness for a sale. However, a buyer cannot be careful enough. Otherwise, s/he could be fooled.

A mortgaged property is easily verified in the bank by the buyer. The seller also has the assurance and security of payment.
