The Intern/ship

Mistaking it for the one featuring Robert de Niro as intern to Anne Hathaway's character, twas similarly about two unemployed salesmen who ventured into Google.  Among a sea
of nerds, the two street-smart losers contributed ideas for an app to protect users from drunken posts. They also nailed a contract with a pizza parlor.

Everyone brings in something to the mediation table.

Musical Play

This one tackled EJK. Noteworthy, thought-provoking and could lead to positive reaction. Much like those artistic effigies too beautiful sometimes to burn.

Mediation, on the other is a more direct way to solve conflict.

Dear Prudence

This song of the Beatles has added meaning nowadays with warnings not to leave your children, things and now even drinks unattended! The latter versus spiking.

So too in mediation, an ounce of prevention is worth more than the resulting perversion.

Downtown Business

Downton Abbey II is called Mr. Selfridge, complete with a carryover actor we spotted.  Now it's World War II that is a-brewing. But there is again the long list of characters in conflict with self, others, the boss and government.

Ever since the time of Jesus, there was a need for Mediation.

Mediating Mic

There was yet another scuffle over the microphone in a videoke. The Pinoy's favorite indoor pastime can also be a pestime.

Mediation advocates sharing the blame and the noise.

Rejecting the Stone

Yesterday's TV coverage of the earthquake's destruction of the Batangas church showed men gathering stones strewn on the basilica's frontyard. They picked up whatever they could carry but one chose to try moving a heavy chunk. He seemed to be calling for help but the others just passed him by.

Mediation is like that. Some decide to just pay attention to the small trivial stuff. The real issue might be something nobody else wants to touch.

Ghost in the Shell

This futuristic film starred Scarlett Johansson who could have been exorcising the ghost of ex-husband Ryan Reynolds, whose character coincidentally and ironically died in "Life." In her movie, though, android Scarlett seeks out theJapanese biological mother of the person from whom she was frankensteined.

Mediators are simpler ghostbusters.

Smurfs

Did you ever wonder that Smurfette was the only girl among them? Their new movie reveals another land with all the women!

Perhaps that was why both exclusive lands were peaceful.

Moving Trump

But he does this on things within his reach at table, as shown by news reports. OC? Or a shark establishing his territory?

Mediation welcomes sincere and productive movers and shakers.

Cats from Hell

A single woman's cat was showing fear and insecurity. Then, she admitted to putting her pet under her sweater for comfort! Problem solved- she was enabling her cat's emotional neediness and dependence on her.

Mediation likewise empowers wo/men to be masters of their fate.
